Many people in Romania are glad that Mr. Sarkozy liked the pen, I know I am.
Hi Kosmopolit!
Did you see that Nicolas Sarkozy’s rival may have supported independence for the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico at Harvard University (during her recent trip to the United States)?
Will you comment on that and the possible effect or connection it may have on the Democratic primaries scheduled for the island on June 1st, 2008?

@ -P- Thanks a lot for raising this issue. Indeed an interesting topic that I was not aware of (I have to admit!). I have the general feeling that not many people in Europe know about the discussion about independence of Puerto Rico…
So I guess Segolene Royal is not quite an expert either and was therefore happy to ‘hide’ behind the official position of the Socialist International. But that is just my bit of speculation!
Personally I do not know much about the topic so I cannot comment on any implications on the democratic primaries.
